ELSPETH ATTWOOLL MEP APPOINTED VICE-CHAIR OF FISHERIES COMMITTEE

Following the changes in responsibilities that take place halfway though the European Parliamentary term, Elspeth Attwooll MEP (Uk, Lib Dem) has been elected a Vice President of the European Parliament's Fisheries Committee.

Commenting, Elspeth said:

"With so many important issues affecting the industry and the whole project of developing a maritime strategy more generally, I am grateful for the confidence colleagues have placed in me. I shall use this opportunity to do all I can to promote the cause of regional management in fisheries."
